Meet the Principal
Dr. Ann Jurewicz, Principal
Dr. Ann Jurewicz, or "Dr. J.," is excited to be joining the collaborative team at Clearview Elementary as its principal. Language learning and world cultures are among her passions, and before coming to 742, she previously led schools in Spain, the Cayman Islands, and at the Twin Cities German Immersion School in Saint Paul. In addition to her principal leadership spanning PreK-12, Dr. J. has been a director of curriculum, district technology integrationist, and adjunct university professor in equity education. She strives to ensure creative, student-centered learning environments where each student's natural gifts are unearthed and nurtured so that they may share them with the larger world.
Dr. J. earned her bachelor of arts degree from Boston College, her master of arts from the University of Minnesota, and her educational doctorate from Bethel University.
Jurewicz grew up in Minnesota and considers this home. She enjoys visiting her large family located across the USA, and she is an avid traveler and scuba diver, identifying her "happy place" as under the water with the fishes. She loves to cook, hang out with family and friends, and her favorite animal is a giraffe. Ask her about her best recipes or world travels sometime!
